Set in its own beautiful gardens, on a slight hillside, the
Quinta do Sol is only three-quarters of a mile from the
centre of Funchal, overlooking one of the capital's
prettiest parks, to the back of the hotel.
This setting offers lovely views of the sea and mountains
from most of its elegantly furnished bedrooms, all of
which have private bathroom, shower, telephone, radio,
hairdryer, safe and satellite TV.
The freshwater swimming pool is heated and has its own
snack bar, while additional sunbathing facilities are
available on the hotel's roof terrace. For a small charge the
hotel's guests may use the public facilities in the
adjoining park, which include tennis and squash courts.
Some bedrooms overlook a busy road.
